Travel Information

Directions from BWI Airport

Leaving BWI on I-195, you come very shortly to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (MD 295). Follow this north. It will turn into Russell Street. When Russell Street passes Orioles Park at Camden Yards, bear right on Paca Street. Next, turn right on Pratt Street going almost half a mile east to Charles Street where you will turn left.

A) To Johns Hopkins University campus

Follow Charles Street north to 29th Street making a left turn. Bear right almost immediately and you will be on Wyman Park Drive. Keep to the left when you come to the junction with Art Museum Drive. Just beyond this is the south entrance to the Hopkins campus. Use that only if you are trying to park in the paid parking lot immediately inside it on the left. Otherwise, stay on Wyman Park Drive; at the fork bear left. Make an immediate right into the parking area. (Do not park in the first lot on your left.) Continue until you pass the back of Olin Hall on the right. The road will deadend into the U Lot where parking for the Conference has been arranged.

B) To conference hotel

If you are going instead to the Doubletree Inn, follow Charles Street up to University Parkway and turn left. The hotel is on the right between Bishop’s Lane and Canterbury Road.

Directions to Homewood Campus

From North:

From I-95 (southbound) or from I-695 (the Baltimore Beltway): Take the beltway toward Towson to exit 25. Take Charles Street south for about 7 miles (when Charles Street splits a block after Loyola College and Cold Spring Lane, take the right fork). As you approach the university and cross University Parkway, continue southbound but be sure to jog right onto the service road. After you pass the university on the right, turn right onto Art Museum Drive. Just after the Baltimore Museum of Art, bear right at the traffic island onto Wyman Park Drive. Just beyond this is the south entrance to the Hopkins campus. Use that only if you are want to park in the paid parking lot immediately inside it on the left.

From South:

From I-95 (northbound): Exit at I-395, then take the exit to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and follow the directions below. From Maryland 295 (the Baltimore-Washington Parkway): Entering Baltimore, the parkway becomes Russell Street. Stay on Russell Street until (with Oriole Park at Camden Yards looming before you) you reach the right-hand exit marked Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (look carefully for this; the signs are small). Take King Boulevard until it ends at Howard Street (remain in one of the middle lanes of King Boulevard to avoid a premature forced right or left turn). Turn left at Howard Street and proceed about 2 miles. One block past 29th Street (where Howard Street becomes Art Museum Drive), turn left at the traffic island (just before the Baltimore Museum of Art) onto Wyman Park Drive. Use that only if you are want to park in the paid parking lot immediately inside it on the left.

Parking Information

Space has been reserved for conference parking in Lot U (see map 260K). A limited number of spaces is also available in the paid visitor parking area of Lot P. Please park ONLY in these areas. We cannot assume responsibility for what happens to cars parked in unauthorized locations. If you have a disability which requires more accessible parking, please contact the conference office as soon as possible so that we can make the appropriate arrangements.
